Help the sweet Jaguar breathe
Help cover the medical costs of Mesbah’s cat.
Pictured above is the lovely Jaguar, the cat of our dear friend Mesbah.
Jaguar is a gentle, sweet little cat of almost 3 years old. He loves his favourite spots in the house, snacking and his little brother Mishmosh.
Early this weekend, Jaguar suddenly started showing unusual symptoms; difficulty breathing, high heart rates and a very low body temperature. Mesbah immediately took him to the vet. He was kept in clinic for a night and did blood tests.
Jaguar was diagnosed with Transient Myocardial Thickening. This is a genetic issue, causing the heart muscles to thicken. This in turn, sadly caused Jaguar’s lungs to fill up with liquids. The liquid is all the white misty shapes visible on the X-ray.
He has been staying at the vet for the past 3 days, where he’s started medication to battle the fluids in his lungs, other to replenish minerals and he’s been staying in an oxygenated enclosure.
It didn’t look good for a second, but Jaguar is a little fighter. The medication seems to be working and he’s slowly on the way to recovering.
According to the vet, Jaguar could come home tomorrow. He will need to stay on the medications for a while, in order to survive and overcome his condition. He is still in a very severe state, but with the right care he should be able to be a normal cat again.
Unfortunately, this won’t be cheap. It’ll cost around 2300 euro, which Mesbah just doesn’t have at the moment.
Let’s make sure this strong little cat can come home to his worried owner Mesbah, and his little brother Mishmosh that misses him.
