English version

I haven't been able to to talk about what happened during my trip to the UK. As we all needed the time to process what really happened and how inhuman I have been treated by the border control UK.

As not many know, I have been sorting out my documents for the last 7 months. I have been making calls, send emails and applied for wrong applications all on advise and guidance from the support and helplines from visa department and home office. First I had apply for an EU settlement scheme which I did, then they said no you're in title to renew your British passport due to our BNO ( British nationality overseas) status. That was declined as they could not find me in the system. Again after many phone calls, emails etc. A special manager's department from the home office told me by email I might was in title for a British passport. After calling them, they said travel to the UK start your application there by making an appointment with the home office. So we did. Coming to the border control in Calais I was taking a side and waited for 6 hours to hear I could not enter the UK. Neither I can visit my daughter in the UK till I got my documents. The reason, they could not find me in the system as a BNO citizen, I explained already the reason ( which the home office gave me), in 1980 when I was born there is no more documentation from that. It's been to long ago.

I've provided them ( border control) evidence, documents which proved my identity, my proof of contact with the home office.

They did not wanted to check more evidence that would proof I would not enter the UK under false reasons. I am just simple a mum who wants to be close to my daughter and see her grow up. Work and pay my taxes.

To keep the story short, I had to wait 6 hours till the French police came and get me to escort me from the premises like a criminal as the border took my passport of me.

Went back to the car, and back to my mums to start all over again. This joke costed us 3000 euros.

Do not think this went down like the TV program border control. And they take you respectfully apart in another room, no this was all discussed in the open and everyone that was going through passport control could hear and see everything.

After 6 long hours I, myself called the French police to come and get me and send me back.

Lizzy's dad who came and get me in Belgium, was driving already for 2 days non stop, adora my dog was super stressed. Lizzy's dad brought me back to my mums and drove with my furniture back to the UK. Finally after 3 days in total he arrived safe and sound but absolutely drained and shocked in the UK. Lizzy's nan went that morning straight to a MP to discuss this matter. The Dutch embassy is disgusted by their inhuman treatment. And said they had no rights to do this. I would never ever put my British passport application in danger by not playing by their rules. As we are talking about the happiness from my daughter and her wishes. I followed all their advice, played by their rules and got fucked off anyway.

So we start again from zero, one way or the other I will be coming over. Might need to apply for a family visa which will costs me 7000 euros. As this passport gives me to many headaches. I've got an amazing support team around me so we will succeed it's only taken more time. And this is a HUGE step back.

Giving up it's not an option and my promise to Lizzy is to celebrate Xmas all together and we will make this happen.

This is the story from my daugther.
