Update 2 (Tuesday 8 Mar. 2022)

My ImuPro test results have arrived, we found some IgG immune reactions to foods, more about this below.

But first thank you all for the total contributions of 3600€ (total 8MAR22), all remaining medical Lab tests have now been able to start-up and sent to the different Labs for analysis in The Netherlands, Germany and the U.S.A.

If everything goes according to schedule, on 14 April my Functional Doctor will address me all the test results and discuss a treatment plan.

Below you find an overview of all recently started Lab tests, on top of the previous announced lab tests:

• Great Planes OAT (76 Organic Acid markers) 310,75€
  to detect any abnormalities related to bacteria, neurotransmitter levels, oxalates, oxidative stress, vitamin & mineral levels, many indicators of any yeast infection (candida) or mold illness.
• Comprehensive Microbiome DNA sequencing analysis of the colonic health: 253,50€
• Lyme and co-infections test: 1.168,05€ 
  Specific testing for 13 most common bacteria and viruses.
• Melisa heavy metals test: 347,50€

The Total of all testing is 2.978,90€

The Doctor consultation fees:
1 February 500€ (already paid)
14 April estimated at 500€

The Medical treatment (medication and supplements) starting as of 14 April is estimated for the first 2-3 months at 800€

Medical costs: 2.978,90+500+500+800 = 4.778,90€

4.778,90-3.600 = 1.178,90€ still needed before 14 April.

The medical budget will be re-evaluated after my next doctors appointment (14MAR.)

Personally I think I'm affected by mycotoxins from living 5 years in a previous home where I found mold, where the air had a muffy odor and it was often humid.

On top of that I also suspect a yeast overgrowth (Candida) in my gut, sinuses and throat (thrush). We all have some Candida, but when one’s immune system is under stress from an infection(s), when a person eats a high carb (sugar/flour/fruit/sweets) diet, or when a person takes multiple rounds of antibiotics, then Candida can change into an opportunistic hyphened form and start to overgrow. 

The symptoms of Candida overgrowth match my symptoms, but not all. Candida and mold can create a dysbiotic environment in the host's gut, so I may have to do small corrections to shift my microbiome back into an eubiotic state through dietary changes and supplements. I'm curious to see if my suspicion is right, I'll keep an open mind awaiting news from the labs.

Now back to my ImuPro test results, I have a strong IgG response to all grains and to some nuts as well. I also have a mild IgG response to eggs and kiwi. I'll learn from my Functional Doctor where this may come from and what can be done about it.

Patience will soon be rewarded when receiving all the other lab test results to confirm what has affected my health so badly during the past 7 years, and most importantly… how can I get optimal health back !

Thanks to your contributions, 1472,09€ nett will be transferred this week from steunactie to my account. The costs paid to steunactie are only 117,91€, not too much.

This start up budget will enable me to cover the first expenses:

Now I need to save more to be able to start up the comprehensive viral and bacterial tests via NL-Lab & ArminLabs which cost 1.168,05€

• EBV/CMV/HSV/VZV
• Coxsackie-/Echo-Virus
• Mykoplasma & Yersinia
• Chlam. trachomatis & pneumoniae
• Bartonella (lyme), Rickettsia, Babesia
• Ehrlichia & Anaplasma

In a last phase, the final tests will be:

• Microbiome DNA sequencing 253,50€
• Melisa heavy metals test 347,50€

I also need to save for several Doctor consultations to evaluate all the Test results and setting up my treatment plan: estimated at 1000€

Then the medication and supplements* are the last costs, estimated at 800€

• vitamins & minerals are NOT reimbursed by our Belgian health insurance!
