Sergio heeft onze hulp nodig!

Lieve mensen en vrienden met heel ons hart wenden wij ons tot jullie voor steun in deze moeilijke tijden. De tijd is een uitdaging en elke dag telt in onze strijd. Sergio, mijn broer en vader van twee jongens van 10 en 11 jaar, bevindt zich in een moeilijke strijd tegen glioblastoom kanker in fase 4. Volgens de statistieken is dit de meest agressieve vorm van hersenkanker, met een zeer laag overlevingspercentage.

In oktober onderging Sergio, na meerdere onderzoeken, een spoedoperatie, en later onderging hij een chemotherapie- en radiotherapiebehandeling. Helaas is deze behandeling beperkt in termen van genezing en is de tumor teruggekeerd, waardoor een tweede chirurgische ingreep voor ons een prioriteit is geworden, zodat de levensverwachting van Sergio intact blijft. De operatie staat gepland voor 27 februari '25 en na herstel willen we er alles aan doen om naar Duitsland te gaan.

Onze kans komt uit Koln, het is een innovatieve behandeling gebaseerd op immuuntherapie, die Sergio een reële overlevingskans zou kunnen geven. De kosten van deze behandelingen zijn aanzienlijk en het geschatte bedrag voor het eerste behandeljaar bedraagt ​​ongeveer 100.000 euro, waarbij ook de reis- en verblijfkosten in Koln tijdens de behandeling worden opgeteld.

 IMMUN-ONKOLOGISCHES ZENTRUM KÖLN(iozk.de) is de enige behandelingsmogelijkheid die momenteel beschikbaar is, maar voor ons gaat het veel verder dan wat we ons kunnen veroorloven.

Omdat moet Sergio ook beginnen met de behandeling met Avastin (de tweede lijn chemotherapie die wordt aanbevolen voor dit type tumor), een medicijn dat aanzienlijke verbeteringen heeft laten zien bij patiënten met glioblastoom, maar dat voor dit type tumor niet door de staat is geregeld. De maandelijkse kosten van de twee behandelingskuren bedragen ongeveer 2.600 euro, een bedrag dat voor ons nu al moeilijk te dragen is.

Wij vragen u om met ons mee te doen aan deze zware strijd, waarvan wij er vertrouwen in hebben dat wij als overwinnaar uit de strijd zullen kunnen komen.

¡Sergio necesita nuestra ayuda!

Querida jente, amigos, de todo corazón acudimos a ustedes en busca de apoyo en estos momentos difíciles. El tiempo es un desafío y cada día cuenta en nuestra lucha.

Sergio, mi hermano y padre de dos niños de 10 y 11 años, está en una difícil batalla contra el cáncer de glioblastoma estado 4. Según las estadísticas, se trata de la forma más agresiva de cáncer cerebral, con una tasa de supervivencia muy baja.

En octubre, tras varias pruebas, Sergio fue operado de urgencia, y posteriormente se sometió a un tratamiento de quimioterapia y radioterapia. Lamentablemente este tratamiento tiene una curación limitada y el tumor ha regresado, por lo que es prioritaria una segunda intervención quirúrgica para que la esperanza de vida de Sergio siga intacta. La operación está prevista para el 27 de febrero '25 y tras la recuperación queremos hacer todo lo posible para ir a Alemania.

Nuestra oportunidad viene de Colonia, se trata de un tratamiento innovador basado en inmunoterapia, que podría darle a Sergio una posibilidad real de supervivencia. Los costes de estos tratamientos son importantes y el importe estimado para el primer año de tratamiento es de aproximadamente 100.000 euros, lo que también incluye los gastos de viaje y alojamiento en Colonia durante el tratamiento.

 IMMUN-ONKOLOGISCHES ZENTRUM KÖLN(iozk.de) es la única opción de tratamiento disponible actualmente y pero para nosotros va mucho más allá de lo que podemos permitirnos.

Como ya estamos hablando de recurrencia, Sergio también debe iniciar el tratamiento con Avastin (la segunda línea de quimioterapia recomendada para este tipo de tumores), un fármaco que ha mostrado mejoras significativas en pacientes con glioblastoma, pero que no está regulado por el estado para este tipo de tumores. Los costes mensuales de los dos tratamientos ascienden aproximadamente a 2.600 euros, una cantidad que ya nos resulta difícil de soportar.
