• Help Me Save My Family in Gaza

My name is Alaa, a young Palestinian man in my twenties. I was forced to leave Gaza in search of safety and a better future.
After a long and difficult journey through Turkey and Greece, I finally reached the Netherlands, where I’m now working hard to build a career in Information Technology.

But even though I’m physically far, my heart remains with my family—still trapped in Gaza, living under constant threat, suffering, and loss.

• A Family in Crisis

I come from a large family of eight siblings—four boys and four girls. Two of my sisters are married with children. One lives with my parents and has three children of her own.
The other recently suffered a heartbreaking tragedy: her baby girl died from severe malnutrition and lack of medical care. We were powerless to save her.

And now, a new catastrophe has shaken our lives.

• My Sister Is Critically Injured

Just a short time ago, my 21-year-old sister was severely injured in a bombing that targeted a civilian car driving near the tents in Gaza.
She lost one of her kidneys and sustained serious injuries to her chest, spine, and foot. Her life now hangs by a thread.

At the same time:

My mother is sick and requires ongoing medical treatment.

My father is injured and in constant pain.

My older sister is also wounded, and my younger sister needs care.

• I Carry This Burden Alone

Every week, I send what little money I can to my family in Gaza. I’m doing everything possible to cover the high costs of medicine, treatment, and food.
The prices are unbearable, and every day is a fight for survival.

My family is literally battling death every day. People around them are dying.
I’ve already lost half of my extended family, and all of my childhood friends have been killed.
I live in constant fear of getting that next phone call—the one that tells me I’ve lost someone else.

• She Was More Than a Sister

My injured sister wasn’t just family—she was my best friend, my shadow, my soul companion.
We shared the same dreams, we studied together, and we both chose the path of IT to lift our family out of suffering.
Even after I left Gaza, we stayed close—talking daily, studying together remotely, planning for a future we could barely imagine.

Now, I’m terrified I may lose her forever.
