Help two queer youth refugees find peace and privacy in brussels
Salome (19) and Ramazi (24), two young Georgian refugees, are in urgent need of a peaceful and private stay in Brussels.
Our goal
We aim to provide Salome and Ramazi with a safe and private apartment-room in July/August, offering them respite from the federal shelters and the opportunity to recover from their experiences.
Their story
Salome and Ramazi have fled their homeland of Georgia to escape the existential despair and repression imposed by homophobia and non-friendly government, which as of recently politically escaleted into Russia’s harsh governance over Georgia. As queer youth, they faced severe persecution and danger, forcing them to seek refuge in Brussels.
Why this matters
Staying in a private apartment-room will offer them safety and privacy but also a window of opportunity to arrange other practical necessities. The funds raised will cover their accommodation expenses for the month of July, giving them a much-needed sanctuary.
How you can help
Your generous contribution will directly support Salome and Ramazi’s stay in Brussels, ensuring they have a secure and peaceful environment to begin their healing journey. Every euro counts and brings us closer to providing them with the stability they need and deserve.
Thank you for your kind support. Together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of these two darling people. <3
