My name is Nikolay, I was born and raised in Russia, as you know in 2022 my country started to wage war with the neighboring country Ukraine, this conflict took the lives of many people, I lost contact with friends from Ukraine. Every day living in Russia is becoming more and more dangerous, repressive laws, oppression of minorities, (as you know, LGBT+ in Russia are recognized as terrorists), lawlessness and the risk of going to war prompted me and one of my friends to find a new home abroad. I started to raise money to travel abroad, and chose Canada as my new home. 

I had knowledge and experience that I could realize in a new country. But the ever-increasing inflation and the change in the exchange rate of the currency I get my salary in is rolling back our savings a lot, at the moment I get about $400 a month, of which about $350 goes to daily necessities like food, transportation and housing. 

We need your help, we want to start a new life away from everything that is going on here. To make sure that our knowledge and skills will be used for the development of the state and not for its destruction. (At the moment my friend is in Georgia, so the funds are going to his card. )
