Misschien ken je ons verhaal over Yolanda uit Zimbabwe nog en hoe we haar hielpen met het bekostigen van haar eerste en tweede studiejaar. Om de paar weken spreken we haar nog en het is mooi om te zien hoe ze een anderhalf jaar later is uitgebloeid tot een jongvolwassen vrouw die hard aan haar toekomst werkt. Wij willen haar natuurlijk blijven steunen en zorgen dat ze kan blijven studeren. Daarom vragen we ook dit jaar voor onze verjaardagen donaties om haar 3e studiejaar te kunnen betalen.

Zo helpen we onze vriend Trust, die we in Zuid-Afrika leerden kennen, zijn droom waar te maken. Namelijk dat zijn dochter niet met een man hoeft te trouwen om het geld. Iets wat wij heel normaal vinden.

Yolanda heeft voor het 3e studiejaar € 2.000 nodig om collegegeld, boeken, huisvesting en studiematerialen te bekostigen. Wij krijgen van Yolanda op haar eigen initiatief betalingsbewijzen van de studiematerialen en van de universiteit, dus wij weten 100% zeker dat het geld goed terechtkomt.

Forse vi ricordate la storia di Yolanda dello Zimbabwe e come l’abbiamo aiutata a pagare il primo e secondo anno d’università. Ogni tanto ancora la sentiamo tramite una video chiamata ed è bello vederla diventare una giovane donna indipendente. Yolanda si sta impegnando seriamente per il suo futuro e naturalmente vogliamo continuare ad aiutarla. Per questo chiediamo donazioni come regalo di compleanno anche quest’anno, così che lei possa continuare a studiare.

In questa maniera vogliamo aiutare il nostro amico Trust, che abbiamo conosciuto in Sud-Africa, a realizzare il suo sogno. Cioè, che sua figlia non debba sposare un uomo per soldi. Una normalità per noi.

Yolanda ha bisogno di € 2.000 per il terzo anno per pagare le spese dell’università, libri, pernottamento e altro materiale necessario per le lezioni. Gli anni scorsi, di sua iniziativa, Yolanda ci ha mandato gli scontrini del materiale e le ricevute dell’università. Dunque ci fidiamo al 100% che i soldi vengano utilizzati per lo scopo menzionato.

Maybe you remember our fundraise for Yolanda from Zimbabwe, so she could pay for her first and second year at the university of Lusaka in Zambia. She is studying to become a nurse and every few weeks we still talk with her. It’s nice to have seen her grow into a young adult woman the past years and we can see that she’s working hard for her future. Of course we want to keep supporting her and make sure she can continue her studies. That’s why we will ask for donations as birthday gifts this year as well, so she will be able to pay for her third year at the university.

This way we try to help our friend Trust, whom we met in South-Africa, to make his dream come true. His dream is that his daughter doesn’t have to marry a man for the money. Something we think of as very normal.

Yolanda will need € 2.000 for her third year, to pay for college tuition, books, housing and other study materials. We receive receipts from the materials Yolanda bought and invoices from the university, so we are a 100% sure the money ends up in the right place.
