Steun mijn droom: Bijbelschool volgen
Vanaf januari 2026 ga ik meedoen aan een Bijbelschool in Canada :)

Ik heb geweldig nieuws dat ik graag wil delen! Op 6 januari 2026 vlieg ik naar Canada om daar een Bijbelschool te volgen.
Meer dan twee jaar geleden ben ik tot geloof gekomen, en ik zie deze stap als een belangrijke verdieping in mijn relatie met God. Ik draag een visie om wereldwijd mee te bouwen aan Gods Koninkrijk en wil mij daar eerst grondig in laten onderwijzen, voordat ik dit op grotere schaal ga doen.
Mijn roeping ligt in evangelisatie; op dit moment kan ik nog slechts op kleine schaal dienen, maar de tijd is kort, de arbeiders zijn weinig en de oogst is groot. Zoals Jezus zegt:
"De oogst is wel groot, maar er zijn weinig arbeiders." (Mattheüs 9:37)
En zoals Jakobus ons herinnert:
"U weet niet wat morgen zal brengen. Wat is uw leven? Het is immers een damp die voor een korte tijd zichtbaar is en daarna verdwijnt." (Jakobus 4:14)
Om deze stap mogelijk te maken, heb ik financiële ondersteuning nodig voor zowel de opleiding als de reiskosten. Ik sta er ook voor open om iets terug te doen, bijvoorbeeld door te helpen in huis of tuin, oppassen, of iets anders.
Daarnaast vind ik het belangrijk volledig transparant te zijn over mijn huidige financiële situatie, zodat duidelijk is dat de steun echt nodig is en volledig wordt gebruikt voor de Bijbelschool.
Financiën
Vanwege studieschuld heb ik nog niet de kans gehad om spaargeld op te bouwen. Eind december moet er voldoende op mijn rekening staan om de Bijbelschool te betalen. Omdat ik alleen Q1 2026 van mijn werk met verlof kan, ben ik gebonden aan die periode. Als je kan helpen, heel graag!

- Vliegticket heen- en terugweg: €1600
- Budget (overige reiskosten, ferry, excursies): €1500

Over de Bijbelschool
Capernwray Harbour is een Bijbelschool op Thetis Island, onder Vancouver. Het eiland telt ongeveer 300 inwoners, wat het een rustige en afgelegen plek maakt om te focussen op God. De school is onderdeel van de internationale organisatie Torchbearers.
Het is een plek waar jongeren uit de hele wereld samenkomen om te groeien in hun geloof, meer te leren over Gods Woord en te ontdekken wat het betekent om Jezus elke dag te volgen.
Het onderwijs bij Capernwray Harbour combineert diepgaand Bijbelonderwijs met praktische toepassing. Zo besteden we bijvoorbeeld een aantal weken aan het boek Job, maar leren we ook wat het betekent om ons geloof in praktijk de brengen door samen te werken op de campus. Elke dag heb je taken om de campus draaiende te houden. Op zondag nemen we de ferry naar het vasteland om naar een kerkdienst te gaan. Daarnaast is er een mentorgroep waarin we dieper ingaan op geloofsthema’s en persoonlijke groei. Ook worden er activiteiten georganiseerd waardoor we betrokken raken bij de lokale gemeenschap op het eiland.

I have wonderful news that I would love to share! On January 6, 2026, I will be flying to Canada to attend a Bible school there.
More than two years ago, I came to faith, and I see this step as an important deepening of my relationship with God. I carry a vision to help build God’s Kingdom worldwide, and I want to be thoroughly trained before stepping into this on a larger scale.
My calling is in evangelism; at the moment, I am able to serve only on a small scale, but the time is short, the workers are few, and the harvest is plentiful. As Jesus said:
"The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few." (Matthew 9:37)
And as James reminds us:
"You do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes." (James 4:14)
To make this step possible, I need financial support for both the school and the travel expenses. I am also happy to offer something in return, such as helping with house or garden work, babysitting, or other assistance.
Additionally, I want to be fully transparent about my current financial situation, so it is clear that the support is genuinely needed and will be used entirely for the Bible school.
Finances
Because of my student debt, I have not yet been able to build up savings. By the end of December, I will need to have enough funds in my account to cover the costs of the Bible school. Since I am only able to take leave from work during the first quarter of 2026, I am tied to this specific period. If you would like to support me in any way, I would be incredibly grateful!

About the Bible School
Capernwray Harbour is a Bible school located on Thetis Island, near Vancouver. The island has around 300 residents, making it a peaceful and quiet place to fully focus on God. The school is part of the international organization Torchbearers.
It is a special place where young people from all over the world come together to grow in their faith, deepen their understanding of God’s Word, and discover what it means to follow Jesus in everyday life.
At Capernwray Harbour, in-depth Bible teaching is combined with practical application. For example, we spend several weeks studying the book of Job, while also learning what it means to live out our faith through daily service on campus. Everyone contributes to keeping the campus running through daily tasks. On Sundays, we take the ferry to the mainland to attend a church service. In addition, we take part in mentor groups where we reflect on faith, personal growth, and life with God. There are also activities that allow us to connect with and serve the local island community.
