Castration project street animals in Brazil
Eric, Clélia and I started a neuter project in Aracatí, Brazil and this year we want to help even more animals!
The Dutch Eric and his Brazilian wife Clélia run a hotel in Canoa Quebrada, Brazil. They couldn't stand the sight of all the animals abandoned in the streets. Last year the three of us set up a project aimed at reducing the numbers of unwanted puppies and kittens being born and abandoned by capturing, neutering and releasing them. Eric is the driver; with his green and orange van (the colors of Brazil and Holland) he collects the animals. Clélia translates and does the communication and I'm the veterinarian castrating them. This year we have students from Europe helping us out, too! But we cannot do this alone. We need money to buy veterinary supplies and medicines. To reach our goal of castrating 300 animals, we need €5000 (£4275). Can we count on you? Even if you can just spare a beer, that would help us a lot.
As they say here in Brazil: Obrigada e Tchau!
