Helaas vergoedt zijn verzekering éen cruciaal onderdeel van zijn behandeling niet: de immunotherapies. Deze levensbelangrijke behandeling kan alleen in een regulier ziekenhuis plaatsvinden. Totdat Leo daar terecht kan, moet hij de kosten van deze therapie zelf betalen. En die kosten zijn enorm hoog.

Our dear Leo was recently diagnosed with something no one ever wants to hear: lung cancer.
Since then, his life has been completely dominated by fighting, treatment, and hoping for a cure. He is currently being treated at the Az Damiaan hospital in Oostende through his contribution from the Helan health insurance fund, but he doesn't have hospitalization costs and works incredibly hard every day to get better.
Unfortunately, his insurance doesn't cover one crucial part of his treatment: immunotherapy. This vital treatment can only be provided in a regular hospital. Until Leo can go there, he has to pay for this therapy himself. And those costs are extremely high.
