Aanstaande juli zullen wij het volgende ziekenhuis in Tanzania steunen!
In Nederland hoef je je geen zorgen te maken of er genoeg medicijnen zijn. Stel je bent ziek, of je maakt je zorgen om de gezondheid van je kind, dan kan je eenvoudig naar de huisarts en kan je zo de juiste behandeling krijgen. Toch zijn er plekken in de wereld waar enorme tekorten aan medische middelen en medicijnen zijn waardoor dit niet zo makkelijk kan!
FAVI Foundation vecht voor genoeg en langdurig medische middelen en medicijnen in Afrika. We steunen dorpen in Afrika die grote tekorten aan medische middelen en medicijnen hebben en reizen van dorp naar dorp om deze persoonlijk medische middelen en medicijnen persoonlijk te brengen.
Alleen met jullie hulp zullen wij het ziekenhuis in Mgera in Tanzania kunnen steunen!
Mgera, een dorpje in Tanzania, heeft ontzettend hard hulp nodig. Het ziekenhuis van Mgera heeft maar 4 zorgmedewerkers, die allemaal als zowel dokter, verpleegkundige en verloskundige werken. Samen zorgen zij voor 4 dorpen met enkel dit ziekenhuis in Mgera. Er wonen 62.000 volwassenen en kinderen in totaal in de dorpen!
Behalve dat het dak van het ziekenhuisje lekt, het erg klein is en er altijd rijen met mensen moeten wachten om geholpen te worden, zoals op de foto's te zien is, komen zij ook enorm veel medische middelen en medicijnen tekort.
Denk aan:
- bloeddrukmeters
- glucosemeters
- verbandmiddelen
- pols-oximeters
- hemoglobinemeter
- anti-HIV medicatie
- antibiotica en meer!
Hier helpt FAVI Foundation mee! Met het ingezamelde geld zullen wij het ziekenhuis en daardoor alle mensen die er wonen enorm kunnen helpen met nieuwe medicijnen en medische middelen die zij jarenlang kunnen gebruiken!

Coming July we will support the next hospital in Tanzania!
In Holland we don't have to worry whether there are enough medical supplies or medicine. Imagine you are sick, or you are worried about the health of your child, you can easily go to your general practitioner and get the right treatment. But still there are many places in the world where there are enormous shortages of medical supplies and medicine which makes this not so easy!
FAVI Foundation fights for enough and durable medical supplies and medicine in Africa. We support villages in Africa that have big shortages of medical supplies and medicine and travel from village to village to bring these personally.
Only with your support we can support the hospital in Mgera in Tanzania!
Mgera, a village in Tanzania, needs a lot of help. The hospital of Mgera has only 4 medical workers, who all have to work as both doctors, nurses and midwifes. Together they have to take care of 4 villages with only this hospital in Mgera. A total of 62.000 adults and children live in these villages!
Despite of the roof leakage, the small size of the hospital and the big lines of people waiting all day to be attended, as you can see in the pictures, they also have an enormous shortage of medical supplies and medicine.
Such as:
- bloodpressure meters
- glucose meters
- bandages
- pulse-oximeters
- hemoglobinemeter
- anti-HIV medication
- antibiotics and more!
This is where FAVI Foundations steps in to support the villages! With the fund we raise, we will be able to support the hospital and therefore the people who live there tremendously with new medical supplies and medicine that they can use for many years!
You would also want other people to have the opportunity to receive medicine and treatment just like you when you need it, right?
