💔 Help for Stray and Abandoned Cats 🐱

Support my mission to improve the lives of stray and abandoned cats in the Czech Republic.

My name is Tereza Končová, and in 2018, I successfully completed my studies in veterinary medicine in Brno, Czech Republic. My journey to becoming a veterinarian was quite winding, filled with trials, changes, and the search for the right place where I would feel truly fulfilled.

I didn't find that place—so I decided to create it myself.

👩‍⚕️ I am a veterinarian with a big heart, and I have decided to go against the norm.
I could open a standard veterinary clinic, treating pets and living a relatively comfortable life. But instead, I chose the harder path—I decided to dedicate my work to those who have been abandoned—the stray and unwanted animals that have never known love, a warm blanket, or a sense of safety.

🐾 It all started with a cat named Jazýček (=Tongue, because his little tongue was always sticking out) .
He was old, stray, and to most people, just an "ugly" cat. But to me, he was perfect. His fate was the same as thousands of other stray cats—invisible, condemned to a slow death on the streets, without help.

When I treated him, he patiently endured every procedure, and despite his condition, he was one of the most affectionate patients I have ever had. He purred at every touch—he was my little big feline love.

And he fought until the very end… but he lost his battle.

That was the moment I realized—I can’t just let this keep happening.

💔 How many more like him are out there, waiting for a miracle that may never come?

🐱 The Problem of Stray Cats in the Czech Republic Is Enormous—and Growing.

Tens of thousands of stray cats roam the streets of the Czech Republic, breeding uncontrollably. These are not animals that "chose" a life on the streets. They were simply born in the wrong place.

📌 Did you know that one unspayed female cat and her offspring can produce up to 16,000 kittens in just seven years?

🔹 These kittens die of hunger, cold, or disease. They are born only to suffer, knowing nothing but a world full of pain.
🔹 Many of them don’t survive their first year of life due to illness, starvation, or injuries.
🔹Injured and elderly cats suffer in silence until their lives slowly fade away.
🔹Shelters are overcrowded, with no funding or space to take in more animals.

This problem has a solution—SPAYING AND NEUTERING.

Stray animals don’t suffer because they are "weak." They suffer because there are too many of them, and no one is taking care of them.

🐾 I Want to Change That. I Have a Plan. But I Need You.

I found a space in Brno where I can open a veterinary clinic—but it won’t be just another vet practice. It will be a rescue center for the most vulnerable souls.

🔹 I will collaborate with shelters and nonprofit organizations, providing them with veterinary care and affordable spaying/neutering services. This will lower their operational costs, allowing them to save even more animals.
🔹The clinic will be funded primarily through donations and partnerships with organizations.
🔹Thousands of cats will have a chance at a better life.
🔹By spaying/neutering large numbers of stray cats, we will reduce the endless suffering of kittens who are born into a world where they have no chance to survive.

But… I can’t do it alone. That’s why I created this fundraiser.

❤️ How Will the Donations Be Used?

All collected funds will go toward:

✅ Medical equipment (ultrasound, blood analysers, diagnostic tools) to provide high-quality veterinary care all in one place.
✅Purchasing medications and medical supplies for injured and sick animals.
✅Hospitalization boxes, so animals can recover safely after surgery and treatment.
✅High-quality food, bedding, and toys, to ensure that animals feel comfortable even while in the clinic—because they deserve more than just survival. They deserve love and dignified care.
