Mission Together: Dit jaar bouwen we aan een betere toekomst voor jongeren in Gambia - Help jij mee?

Hey! Mijn naam is Annelie :)

Samen met een groep jongeren van verschillende kerken (Mission Together) ga ik deze kerstvakantie naar Gambia. In het dorpje Bwiam heeft zendingsorganisatie WEC in 2005 een studiecentrum opgericht. Omdat veel studenten te ver van huis wonen, verblijven zij in een soort studentenhuis. Helaas is het verblijf voor de jongens momenteel in een te slechte staat en daardoor gesloten. Wij gaan helpen met de renovatie en het bouwen van een nieuw studiecentrum! Daarnaast organiseren we kinderactiviteiten en sportdagen voor de kinderen in de buurt.

Hey! My name is Annelie :)

This holiday season, I am going to Gambia with a group of young people from different churches (Mission Together). In the village of Bwiam, the mission organization WEC established a study center in 2005. Since many students live too far from home to commute, they stay in a dormitory near the center. Unfortunately, the boys’ dormitory is currently in very poor condition and has been closed as a result. We’re going there to help renovate the dormitory and to build a new study center! We’ll also be running activities for local kids, including sports and fun community events.
