On the evening of 5th November 2024, our world as we knew it,  changed forever. Our perfect little 8mth old was laid in A&E with doctors running so many tests. We were then told that we had to get him to ICU immediately in another hospital because they believed he had multiple bleeds on the brain. That night passed in a blur of faces, conversations and blue lights, terrified of what was happening and also what was to come. Over the coming days, numerous doctors tried to reassure and ran tests, where they confirmed that thankfully, he didn't have bleeding on the brain, however, he had a rare genetic condition called Tuberous Sclerosis Complex. The “bleeds” which the doctors had thought they had found, were actually benign tumours on his brain. These tumours were the reason he had epilepsy and had caused damage to his brain.

Tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) is such a crazy genetic condition as there are so many areas which can be affected (lungs, heart, kidneys, brain, skin etc) and so many different variations of the complex that Wyatts future is unknown.

Currently,  Wyatt is a happy and super sweet 14mth old, but is already facing challenges with his development. He has weekly physio to help with his mobility, and frequent hospital visits.

Because of Wyatts condition, I want to raise some funds, along with awareness to Tuberous Sclerosis Complex and to assist in helping others who are impacted by this complex condition.
