Braces for Zoë

Zoë endured a childhood of severe abuse and neglect. One of the consequences of this is that there was no tooth care. Going to the dentist is a very stressful thing for her. But she has been doing so faithfully over the past years. Luckily she has a very kind dentist. 

A longing to take better care of herself and practice more selfcare has been growing over the past years. This as she realises more en more how much pain was done to her. How her body suffered from the physical abuse, that left permanent damage in her body. 

But also the neglect. She suffered hunger as a child, so her body couldn’t develop like it was supposed to. And that is also one of the causes of her chronic pain. 

Also the dentist care wasn’t there. She can’t remember ever going to the dentist. Due to this, she has overcrowding in her lower jaw. And she is missing a molar on the left hand side due to violence 

Now she has taken the courageous step to go to the orhodontist to get braces to help her teeth and her self image. This is a longer process of multiple appointments with a certified orthondontist in the city where she lives. Her credentials checked out, which is important. 

Of course getting braces is very expensive, since as an adult this is not covered by the health insurance. I am asking for your support on Zoë’s behalf to be able to get braces. And help her restore some of what was done to her.
