In 2019, my life changed forever. Like many small business owners, I had poured my heart, soul, and every ounce of energy into my dream. My business was thriving, and I was building a future not just for myself but for my family and my community. But when COVID-19 struck, everything I had worked for was taken away in what felt like an instant.

As the pandemic ravaged the world, it also ravaged my livelihood. My business, like so many others, could not withstand the weight of the lockdowns and restrictions. The doors closed, the team I had built dispersed, and the dream I had nurtured seemed to vanish overnight.

But while the pandemic took my business, it didn’t take my determination. I knew I had to start over, no matter how difficult it would be.

I began again from scratch, this time venturing into the distribution business. With no capital, no team, and not even a working cellphone, I loaded my little car with whatever I could afford and went door-to-door, building relationships with potential clients and suppliers. Each knock on a door wasn’t just an attempt to sell—it was a step toward rebuilding my life.

There have been days when the odds felt insurmountable. The lack of a proper phone has made communication a challenge, and my car—my only lifeline—has struggled to keep up with the demands of this business. Despite these hurdles, I’ve pressed forward, driven by the belief that perseverance and hard work will ultimately pay off.
