Hello everyone!

This is a Fundraiser for Melvin, a furry senior with multiple health problems needing care and support.

! UPDATE :  Melvin was diagnosed with one more problem: Biliary sludge. We are now just on a 'when and how' basis with life rather than ' if ' . Visits to the doctor as as frequent as 2-3 times/ month and it will get even more often. He is taking 7 types of medicine/day and had around 15 echography's. But this baby boy deserves all the days i can give him

Biliary sluge diagnosis

In one of the photos attached, you will see his initial health report, as given by the dog shelter. As he was neutered at the age of 12 y old, he also has complications that need to be taken care of and i was unaware of before i had him in my care

He had GDV (gastric dilatation) and is prone to it constantly, which is life-threatening . He has arthritis and as its winter, it really hurts him. He also had a stroke. He needs heart medication, eye cream, laser therapy or injections for his arthritis for life and he has a high level of glucose so he might have diabetes so i need to test that also. He needs a heart and abdominal echography and blood tests. Besides all this, routine vaccines, deworming, food suited for his health problems, regular visits to the doctor for his heart, arthritis, gastric situation and any other urgent matter that will occur.

Being alone with him in an apartment  isn't easy. When he gets sick during the night, i need to go outside with him alone in the complete dark because where i live its an Eco-friendly environment so they turn off the lights. When i needed to take him to the emergency, my car was completely frozen, the doors wouldn't open so i needed to wait for the moment public transport would start operating so i can take him myself as i live in a small town and emergency doctors have to come from far away so besides the regular consultation they will add the emergency fee, the kilometers they need to drive and everything they need to intervene with. EVERY little thing they do has a fee. I need to pay a consultation even if i went 5 MINUTES for a shot. The medicine in the shot cost 0,59 eur but i had to pay 50Eur/5minutes in total because i had to pay the consultation ( that they did not do and thought at the end Theo was a female), then the fact they do the shot, and this at one of the best doctors around. So its a difficult situation and also financially stressful when there is nobody to help and i need to stay awake and then be on the road with him in freezing temperatures and receiving huge bills

I recently also had a complete meltdown as i have lost three close family members since 2019, one every year, and with no help, I just pushed myself to go on until my body also gave up, and my reality got distorted entirely from trying to detach myself in order to complete my social duties and pay bills and now i am out of work and living on a low income so the weight of the World is pining me to the ground, after completing two master degrees in the same time, living in a foreign country on my own , working for a better future for me and my family, but life having an altogether other plan for me

I beg you please, help us get out of this difficult patch. My biggest dream is to own a small but cozy home with a garden and be able to adopt as many abandoned dogs with special needs as possible. But everything has to start somewhere so I beg you, please, ❤️HELP ME HELP THEM❤️ so together we can further complete the circle by accompanying humans dealing with various life challenges ( depression, grief, illness... )

I am 37 years old, completed 2 master's degrees in the same time, moved abroad to make a better life for me and my family but a greater power had other plans for me : 10 years fighting depression, 6 years of severe anxiety and 4 years PTSD. And after 12 years of paying rent, i am further than ever to have the little home with the garden i always dreamed about as i lived 2/3 of my life in a communist-type apartment building and i just feel suffocated
