Soms moet je even stilstaan om weer echt te kunnen zien.
​Na een lange pauze heb ik mijn passie voor fotografie hervonden. Niet zomaar foto’s maken, maar verhalen vertellen. Onder de naam 10th Orchid ben ik gestart met een nieuwe visie: beelden creëren die de ziel raken, ergens tussen het mysterieuze en de zachte elegantie van de natuur.
​De muur waar ik tegenaan loop
Mijn huidige laptop kan de zware nabewerking die bij 'Visual Art' komt kijken niet meer aan. Zodra ik probeer te bewerken in Lightroom of Photoshop, loopt alles vast. Mijn hardware houdt mijn creativiteit letterlijk gegijzeld. Om de kwaliteit te leveren waar ik naar streef, heb ik een systeem nodig dat dit proces ondersteunt in plaats van blokkeert.
​De kracht van focus en verbinding
Mijn fotografie gaat in de kern veel dieper dan alleen het maken van een mooi plaatje. Als persoon met ASS is de wereld soms overweldigend, maar achter de lens vind ik de rust en focus die ik elders vaak mis. Het proces -van het eerste contact met de mensen voor mijn lens tot het minutieus uitwerken van een beeld naar een eindresultaat- is voor mij de ultieme manier om de wereld te verwerken en me goed te voelen.
​Fotografie is mijn taal; het stelt me in staat om alles om me heen even te vergeten en volledig op te gaan in het moment. Een nieuwe computer is voor mij dan ook meer dan hardware; het is de sleutel tot mijn mentale welzijn en de ruimte om mijn unieke perspectief eindelijk weer te kunnen delen.
​Waarom deze steunactie?
Ik wil niets liever dan mijn portfolio uitbouwen en weer met modellen, gezinnen en koppels aan de slag gaan. Om dit mogelijk te maken heb ik een budget van €1400 nodig voor een nieuwe setup. Dit is voor mij geen luxe-aankoop, maar het essentiële gereedschap om 10th Orchid tot leven te wekken.
​Elke bijdrage, hoe klein ook, brengt mij een stap dichter bij het eerste beeld dat ik wél kan afwerken en de mensen die ik zo graag weer voor mijn lens wil zien stralen.

​After a long break, I have rediscovered my passion for photography. Not just to take pictures, but to tell stories. Under the name 10th Orchid, I have started with a new vision: creating images that touch the soul, somewhere between mystery and the soft elegance of nature.
​The wall I am hitting
My current computer can no longer handle the heavy post-processing required for 'Visual Art'. As soon as I try to edit in Lightroom or Photoshop, everything freezes. My hardware is literally holding my creativity hostage. To deliver the quality I strive for, I need a system that supports this process instead of blocking it.
​The power of focus and connection
At its core, my photography goes much deeper than just creating a beautiful image. As someone with ASD, the world can sometimes be overwhelming, but behind the lens, I find the peace and focus that I often miss elsewhere. The process -from the first contact with the people in front of my lens to meticulously crafting an image into a final result- is the ultimate way for me to process the world and feel good.
​Photography is my language; it allows me to forget everything around me for a moment and completely immerse myself in the present. A new computer is therefore more than just hardware to me; it is the key to my mental well-being and the space to finally share my unique perspective again.
​Why this crowdfunding?
I want nothing more than to build my portfolio and start working with models, families, and couples again. To make this possible, I need a budget of €1400 for a new setup. For me, this is not a luxury purchase, but the essential tool to bring 10th Orchid to life.
