Help a Father Rebuild His Medicine Shop and Provide Food for His 3 Children

My small medicine shop is not just a business for my family. It is the only source of income for my wife, my three children, and me.

My name is Md Rokib Ahmed, and I live in Bangladesh. I have always wanted to support my family through honest work. But today, my shop is almost empty, and I am struggling to keep my family going.

There is very little medicine stock left on my shelves. Customers still come to my shop looking for medicines, but many times I have to tell them that I do not have what they need. Without enough stock, I cannot make enough sales.

My monthly sales are now only around BDT 6,000, approximately €50. At the same time, my monthly payments to banks and NGOs are around BDT 50,000, approximately €400.

This has made everyday life extremely difficult.

How did I reach this situation?

Both of my parents suffered serious brain strokes. When they became seriously ill, I borrowed money from banks, NGOs and other sources to pay for their treatment. I did everything I could because they were my parents and I could not simply watch them suffer.

Sadly, I lost both of them.

The debts, however, remained.

I am still carrying those financial obligations while trying to provide food for my own family and keep my small shop alive.

My children need food

I have three children who depend on me.

The hardest part of this situation is not the empty shop or even the debt. It is worrying about whether I can provide enough food for my children.

I am struggling to provide regular food and three meals a day for them. As a father, it is painful when I cannot give my children what they need.

But I do not want to give up.

I want to work. I want to rebuild my shop and become financially independent again.

I am asking for a chance to rebuild

I am raising €10,000.

The money will be used approximately for:

• €4,000 – Medicine stock and working capital
• €3,000 – Urgent bank and NGO loan obligations
• €2,000 – Food and essential household needs for my family
• €1,000 – Shop operating and emergency costs

My goal is not to depend on donations forever.

I want to put medicine back on the shelves, serve my customers again, increase my income and gradually support my family through my own work.
