Hi, my name is Abraham.

I’m a student living on my own, and my cat Olly is my best friend. A few days ago, on 11 June, Olly had an accident — he slipped from the window sill and fell from the sixth floor. I know It’s a miracle that he survived and I am and will be endlessly grateful for that.

Unfortunately, he did suffer serious injuries from the fall. He broke his left paw (which need to be stabilized with surgical pinning) and permanently damaged some of his teeth. We’ve been referred to a specialist, and olly is scheduled for surgery on Tuesday , June 20 2025.

The surgery alone is expected to cost around 2,000 euros, and additional costs will come from aftercare, such as cast changes, medications, and a separate surgery to remove a broken tooth.

Thankfully, other than bruising, his internal organs are okay — olly is currently in a lot of pain though and is being treated with strong painkillers and morphine to keep him comfortable.

As a student doing my internship, I simply don’t have the means to afford all of these unexpected medical expenses on my own.
