Since 2010 I have had a need to be with patients in hospital. Whenever I heard someone is  sick I was just restless. Even in Bible school any mention of going to hospitals I could feel the joy and peace within me. And so as I continued with my classes my desire is that one time I would study Clinical pastoral education so as to handle the physical, emotional,social, mental and psychological needs of an individual. 

In 2018 I received a call to plant a church here in Kenya at a place called Tiaty Constituency, Baringo County. This is among the Pokots and a tribe that is different from my own. The experience was/is fascinating despite being insecure. This is brought about by cattle rustling. One thing that breaks my heart is the level of alcohol consumption. It involves both genders and I know of an 11 years old hooked to the local brew. This has got me thinking how I can be of help to these dear ones. And so my desire to study Clinical Pastoral Education(CPE) stirred more in me.

Since I did not have funds to study I started looking for grants from last year. The only organization that responded indicated that I look for an online school and when I get admitted I inform them and as we agreed it will be sent directly to the school. I was accepted this year after a rigorous application this year by RC Freedom ministries in San Antonio, Texas, USA and received an official acceptance letter as an online student who has a clinical site here in Kenya to do his practicum. I indeed started class on 6th August 2024.

And so I informed the organization of the results so as to send the tuition to the school. But they informed me of not being able to do so since they were experiencing financial challenges. So I am seeking the tuition fee payable to RC Freedom ministries to help me finish this unit and the other three units remaining. CPE has four units and each unit is required to pay $2550 and it takes 5 months. If one one is touched to help me they can do it per unit such that after receiving the report of the previous unit one can be convinced to proceed with the payment of the next unit.

This will help me to be equipped to help the needs of a person holistically among those hospitalized or receiving treatment at home, those in addiction, those in grief, elderly who need support, safeguarding children needs and rights, those in prison et al.
