Hope Under the Rubble: Help Our Family Rebuild Our Lives Through Donuts and Gifts for Displaced Children in Gaza

My name is Mohammed. I am a husband and a father of two beautiful daughters, Rose, who is six years old, and my baby girl, Kyras. My family is from the Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza.

Before the war, we had a home, a livelihood, and dreams for our children's future. Like every parent, my wife and I wanted to provide our daughters with a safe home, enough food, and a happy childhood.

But the war changed our lives completely.

Our home was destroyed, and we lost almost everything we had. We lost our belongings, our memories, our sense of security, and our source of income. We also lost 17 members of our extended family, including children and other loved ones. Their loss has left a deep wound in our hearts that words cannot describe.

Today, my wife, my children, and I are struggling to survive in extremely difficult circumstances in Gaza. With no home to return to and no reliable source of income, every day brings new challenges. We worry about food, water, basic necessities, and how we can provide a better life for our daughters.

Yet, despite all the pain and hardship, we refuse to give up.

A Small Family Project Born from Hope

My wife and I decided to start a small family project. Together with our family, we prepare homemade donuts and create gift packages for children. We also distribute donuts and small gifts to displaced children in Gaza, hoping to bring a little happiness to their lives.

These children have endured so much. Many have lost their homes, their toys, their schools, and the childhood they deserve. We know their pain because our own children are living through the same suffering.

When we see a child smile after receiving a donut or a small gift, we feel that even in the darkest circumstances, we can still offer something beautiful. A simple treat or a thoughtfully wrapped present may seem small, but for a child who has experienced so much fear and sadness, it can bring a precious moment of joy.

We cannot end the war or erase the suffering these children have endured. But we can try to remind them that they have not been forgotten.

Your Support Can Help Us Survive and Keep This Project Alive

This project is more than a small business for us. It is our way of trying to rebuild our lives after losing our home and our livelihood. It is an opportunity to earn a little income, provide food and essential necessities for our daughters, and continue bringing happiness to displaced children whenever we can.

However, starting and maintaining this project under the current circumstances is extremely difficult. We need ingredients to make donuts, packaging materials for the gifts, and the basic supplies required to keep our work going. At the same time, we must find ways to provide food, milk, clothing, and other necessities for our own family.

By supporting our project, you are helping a family in Gaza work toward survival with dignity. You are also helping us continue sharing moments of happiness with children who desperately need kindness and hope.

Your contribution can help us purchase ingredients, prepare more donuts, package gifts for children, and sustain our small family initiative. It can also help us meet our family's most urgent needs while we try to rebuild our livelihood from nothing.

Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a meaningful difference. If you cannot donate, sharing our story with others would also mean so much to us.

We Have Lost So Much, but We Have Not Lost Hope

My dream is simple. I want my daughters, Rose and Kyras, to grow up with enough food, warmth, and security. I want my wife to feel that we can face tomorrow without constant fear. I want to work with my family, earn an honest living, and continue bringing smiles to children who have suffered just as ours have.

We are not asking for luxury. We are asking for an opportunity to stand on our feet again, support our children, and build something meaningful despite the devastation around us.

Our little donut and gift project represents that hope. It is our attempt to turn pain into something positive, hardship into determination, and a small family effort into a source of comfort for other children.

Please stand with us. Help us keep our project alive, support our family, and bring moments of happiness to displaced children in Gaza.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who supports us, shares our story, or takes a moment to care.

Together, we can help our family survive with dignity and bring a little sweetness and hope into the lives of children who have lost so much.

With gratitude and hope,

Mohammed and Family
