Several months back, a very good mate of mine, Adrian was the victim of an attack in Constanta, Romania.  Adrian suffered massive head trauma, and spent several months in a coma, his poor family only able to sit, wait and hope.  

Adrian has recently shown very promising signs of improvement, to the point of nearly being able to breathe on his own, and recognizing friends and family when they come visit, but he still needs lots of care as he is only in the earliest stages of recovery.  

At this point, the family and Adrian's doctors have concluded that to get the proper care to ensure his recovery, he must be transferred from Elias Emergency University Hospital in Bucharest (where he has been in intensive care) to Hochzirl Hospital in Tyrol, Austria.  Unfortunately, the family's resources and medical coverage will fall far short of covering the total cost, leaving a staggering 130,000€ for them to cover.  

Adrian has a family, including a seven-month-old baby daughter, who depend on him.  Needless to say, this storm will be difficult for them to weather.  

I have created this crowdfunding drive to help defray the family's costs.  Anybody who knows Adrian (or his cousin, Marian - one of my very best friends in the world) knows that he and his family would give literally anything they have to help a friend in need.  My hope is to pay some of that good karma back to them, and allow them the peace of mind knowing that they can provide Adrian the best possible care in this difficult time.
