Hi, my name is Vlad Burlacu and I am in a very difficult situation. Life hit me with everything at once, and I am struggling to survive.

Until October 2025, I worked hard in a local restaurant to make ends meet. Then the restaurant suddenly went bankrupt. Overnight, I had no income, no wages, and no support. I do not qualify for unemployment benefits and my application for social integration income, called leefloon, was denied. I am fighting this decision in court, but even if I win, it could take months to receive any money, and back pay is not guaranteed. Meanwhile, rent, bills, and food costs keep piling up.

Just before the bankruptcy, I suffered a serious work accident. I injured a tendon in my dominant hand. Every simple task is painful, including holding a cup, opening a door, typing, dressing, and even shaking hands. The pain is constant, keeps me awake at night, and has caused additional health problems.

I am trying to find work, but it is extremely difficult. I do not speak Dutch yet, and my damaged hand limits what I can do. I had planned to start Dutch lessons at Atlas to improve my chances, but I cannot afford tuition or materials. Even if I find work, my injury makes it hard to perform basic tasks. I feel trapped in a cycle I cannot break alone.

On top of this, I had to borrow €870 from friends and family just to pay a lawyer for the court case. Rent is overdue, utility companies are threatening to cut services, and I am terrified of losing my home.

I am not asking for luxury, just a lifeline until I can receive social support or find work. Even €1,000 to €1,500 would help me pay urgent rent, cover basic bills, buy food, and keep going. Every euro counts, even €5 or €10 makes a difference.

I have always worked hard, paid my taxes, and never asked for help before. Now I am at my lowest. Your support could be the difference between losing everything and finding a way forward. If you cannot contribute, sharing this campaign would mean the world.
