Ondersteun John's revalidatie van zwaar hoofdtrauma.
Ernstig arbeidsongeval met een zeer zwaar hoofdletsel
Op 23 februari werd mijn goede vriend en al meer dan 25 jaar mijn gewaardeerde collega het slachtoffer van een ernstig arbeidsongeval met een zeer zwaar hoofdletsel tot gevolg. Momenteel ligt John in een kunstmatig coma en is hij al meerdere keren geopereerd. Echter, als hij ontwaakt uit zijn coma, heeft hij nog een lange weg te gaan - een weg vol herstel en rehabilitatie. Op dit moment is de uitkomst van zijn medische toestand onzeker.
Daarom heb ik besloten deze crowdfunding op te zetten, om John en zijn familie wat financiële steun en zekerheid te geven tijdens deze onzekere periode. John is een sympathieke gast die altijd bereid was anderen te helpen die het nodig hadden. Nu vinden we dat het onze beurt is om hem te helpen in zijn moeilijkste dagen. Elk beetje hulp wordt enorm gewaardeerd.
Op vraag van de familie worden er voorlopig geen foto’s uit het ziekenhuis gepost, we houden jullie uiteraard op de hoogte van zijn herstel.
Als het vooropgestelde bedrag overschreden wordt, zal dit doorgestort worden naar een goed doel m.b.t. onderzoek naar hersentrauma.
Support John’s recovery of a severe head trauma.
On February 23rd, my good friend and dear colleague suffered a very serious accident while on active duty which resulted in a very severe head wound. Currently, John is kept in an artificial coma and underwent several surgeries. When he gets out of the coma, he will have a long way to go – a journey full of physical recovery and rehabilitation. The outcome of his medical condition is uncertain for the moment.
That's why I decided to start this crowdfunding, to provide John and his family some financial support and protection in this difficult period. John is a very likeable guy who has always been prepared to help others when needed. It’s my belief that now is the time to support him when going through the most difficult days of his life. Every little bit of support is highly appreciated.
For now, upon request of the family we will not post any pictures of John while being hospitalized, of course we’ll keep you updated on his progress.
If the predefined amount is exceeded the rest of it will be donated to charity, more particular to research into brain trauma.
