Ons prachtige enorm lieve en knappe en brave jonge gezinspaard Tigrys vertoonde koliek gedrag dus de dierenarts gekomen, die constateerde een darmverstopping dus laxeren. Dit werkte niet dus is er op vrijdagavond besloten Tygris op te laten nemen bij de dierenkliniek. Daar is ze in de avond meteen geopereerd om te proberen de oorzaak van de verstopping te vinden echter werd de ernstige verstopping wel degelijk geconstateerd maar niet direct de oorzaak ontdekt. Daarna is in de kliniek anderhalve week gevochten om de verstopping weg te krijgen en de darm weer op gang te krijgen tot aan bijna fataal nierfalen toe heeft onze Tyg erbij gestaan. Gelukkig is ze toch over het punt van een near opgave heen gekomen en zijn haar bloedwaardes bijgetrokken door de intensieve en uitgebreide behandeling in de kliniek. Na anderhalve week mocht Tyg weer mee terug naar huis maar helaas waren toen de problemen nog lang niet voorbij. Ten eerste moest ze 6 weken stalrust houden i.v.m. met de buikwond van de operatie, je begrijpt dat dat precies midden in de warmste periode ook een hele opgaven is voor een paardje om alleen 24 uur per dag in een stal te moeten staan. Ook kwamen de koliek en verstopping weer terug toen ze weer thuis was. Dus wederom reed de dierenarts af en aan tot wel 3x per dag en in de nacht om te proberen Tigris darm weer goed op gang te krijgen. Er was dus inmiddels door alles sprake van een geïrriteerde darm wat niet raar is. Uiteindelijk na 10 dagen met veel overleg met de dierenartsen de kliniek en zelfs het dierenziekenhuis in Utrecht en vele aanpassingen aan haar voeding en voedingstijden en hoeveelheden enz. is de darmwerking gelukkig tot nu toe aardig gestabiliseerd. Echter blijkt nu dat door alle ellende die onze lieve knappe Tyg heeft moeten doorstaan de laatste weken ze een maagzweer heeft ontwikkeld die ook weer behandeld moet worden met hele dure medicatie. Een paardenmaag is in tegenstelling tot een mensenmaag helemaal niet bestand tegen allerlei medicaties en perioden van vasten omdat ze eerst moest ontlasten en de stress van alleen 24 uur per dag op stal moeten staan van de operatie die steeds weer begint te ontsteken waarbij de pus eruit druipt waardoor ze weer AB moet krijgen. Al met al dus een gecompliceerd verloop wat begon met een stevige koliek. U begrijpt dat de kostenteller ondertussen roodgloeiend is opgelopen naar tot nu toe €24000. wij hebben zelf wel een kostenreserve voor onze dieren maar dit gaat daar ver bovenuit. En ook zijn wij met z'n alle inmiddels wekenlang bijna dag en nacht in de weer om Tyg te verzorgen en zoveel mogelijk aandacht en hulp en liefde te geven om te proberen haar er bovenop te krijgen naar hopelijk het lieve knappe brave paard dat ze ooit was. Ook zijn een aantale personen van ons gezin nu hard extra aan het werk door dubbele diensten te werken i.v.m. de hoge rekeningen die blijven komen. Tygris zelf heeft natuurlijk ook zelf met al deze ellende moeten dealen de afgelopen weken maar ze heeft dat met veel geduld en kracht gedaan maar toch kon ze op een moment niet meer op haar benen staan en was ze enorm veel kilo's afgevallen en nog maar een schim van de glorie die ze was. Haar geluk is dat ze nog een jong dier is dus dat ze zelf goed mee kan strijden om erbovenop te komen. Op de foto's ziet u ook onze dochter die een hele sterke band heeft met Tigrys en die zoals iedereen enorm heeft meegeholpen met de zorg en liefde geven aan Tyg.

Ultimately, after 10 days with a lot of consultation with the veterinarians, the clinic and even the animal hospital in Utrecht and many adjustments to her diet and feeding times and amounts, etc., fortunately the intestinal function has stabilized quite well so far. However, it now appears that due to all the misery that our sweet, handsome Tyg has had to endure in recent weeks, she has developed a stomach ulcer that also needs to be treated with very expensive medication. In contrast to a human stomach, a horse's stomach is not at all resistant to all kinds of medications and periods of fasting because it first had to defecate and the stress of having to be in the stable 24 hours a day after the operation, which keeps becoming infected with pus oozing out. so she has to get AB again. We do have a cost reserve for our animals, but this far exceeds that. And we have all been working almost day and night for weeks now to take care of Tyg and give as much attention, help and love as possible to try to get her on top of hopefully becoming the sweet, handsome, good horse she will one day be. used to be. Los cólicos y el estreñimiento también volvieron cuando regresó a casa. Así que nuevamente el veterinario condujo de un lado a otro hasta 3 veces al día y por la noche para intentar que los intestinos del Tigris volvieran a moverse correctamente. Entonces todo le había provocado una irritación intestinal, lo cual no es extraño. Al final, después de 10 días de muchas consultas con los veterinarios, la clínica e incluso el hospital de animales de Utrecht y muchos ajustes en su dieta, tiempos y cantidades de alimentación, etc., afortunadamente la función intestinal se ha estabilizado bastante bien hasta el momento. Sin embargo, ahora parece que debido a toda la miseria que nuestro dulce y guapo Tyg ha tenido que soportar en las últimas semanas, ha desarrollado una úlcera de estómago que también necesita ser tratada con medicamentos muy costosos. A diferencia del estómago humano, el estómago de un caballo no resiste en absoluto a todo tipo de medicamentos y períodos de ayuno, ya que primero tiene que defecar y al estrés de tener que estar en el establo las 24 horas del día después de la operación, lo que mantiene se infecta y le sale pus, por lo que tiene que recibir AB nuevamente.
