Empower 200+ Women Through Handembroidery: Be Part of Their Journey

Empowering 200+ women in Bangladesh through hand embroidery—help us open a store, expand jobs & build brighter futures.”

My name is Anika Bristi, and I am from Bangladesh. Alongside my studies, I have been working passionately on my clothing brand, Orindrita – a hand-embroidery business that celebrates the art, culture, and craftsmanship of Bangladeshi women.
Currently, my team of 200+ women is the heart of Orindrita. Many of them are underprivileged women, single mothers, or women struggling with financial and social barriers. Through embroidery, tailoring, and design, they are not only building beautiful clothing but also building better futures for their families. They can now afford education for their children, contribute to household needs, and stand with dignity in society.
Our product range includes embroidered tops, gowns, skirts, shirts, and sarees for women, and I am now planning to expand into new collections for both men and women.
Our Challenge
At present, Orindrita operates online. While we are receiving a high volume of orders and have grown an online community of over 333,000 Facebook followers and 25,000 Instagram followers, many of our customers repeatedly ask for a physical showroom. A physical store would not only strengthen customer trust and brand presence but also allow us to employ more women artisans.
Unfortunately, as a student and young entrepreneur, I do not yet have the funds to open a store and expand the factory capacity.
Our Vision & Plan
With your kind support, we aim to:
Open a Physical Store: Establish Orindrita’s first showroom in Bangladesh, making our brand more accessible to customers and strengthening our credibility.
Expand the Factory: Equip more workstations and facilities to allow women to work comfortably, safely, and efficiently.
Train & Empower 500+ Women: Create skill-development workshops to train women in embroidery, tailoring, and design, so they can become independent earners.
Promote Cultural Heritage: Bring Bangladeshi traditional embroidery and craftsmanship to a global audience, highlighting the stories of the women behind each piece.
Sustainable Growth: Introduce eco-friendly fabrics and packaging to align with sustainable fashion practices.
Our Mission
Orindrita is not just a business – it is a movement of empowerment. Every stitch made by our women carries hope, resilience, and dreams of a brighter tomorrow. By opening our store and expanding our production, we will be able to:
Create stable jobs for women who have few opportunities otherwise.
Support families and children through the income these women earn.
Preserve and promote traditional embroidery techniques unique to Bangladesh.
Build a community of empowered women who uplift each other.
Why Your Support Matters
By contributing to this campaign, you are not just funding a store – you are funding dreams. You are investing in education for children, in financial independence for women, and in the survival of a craft that tells stories through every thread.
Every donation, big or small, brings us closer to our goal of building a brighter, stronger, and more independent community of women artisans.
Together, we can empower 500+ women, expand Orindrita, and create a legacy of empowerment through fashion.
👉 Be part of their journey. Empower women. Preserve culture. Build futures.
