Help my Family in Gaza Survive Genocide
My family is besieged in the largest concentration camp in existence. Help them survive this genocide with your donation.
Help my Family in Gaza Survive Genocide
I kindly ask for and urge your donation to help my family in Gaza survive.
My name is Alaa, I am a young man from Gaza, currently based in Groningen, the Netherlands. I left Gaza at the age of 15, hoping to escape the harsh life of living in under occupation. Since the genocide began, my family that consists of my 2 parents, 4 sisters and 3 brothers, and their families have been barely surviving under constant bombardment with the threat of starvation and death.
Since the closing of the Rafah border, the cost of food, water, shelter and medical care has rising tenfold. This puts my family in critical financial stress and raises the costs to a minimum of 1000 euros per WEEK
With the help of donations from my community and the hundreds of generous donors, my family has survived the 32 months of ethnic cleansing. However, my family has gone through major loss and continues to face the threat of death daily.
The money you donate helps provide cost of living and survival for around 18 family members.
With the martyrdom of many of my cousins, my mother takes care of the orphaned children in my family as well as for my siblings and their children. My mother now take cares of 9 children while also facing and dealing with her own medical setbacks. Her blood pressure issues have become worse trying to survive a genocide and deals with other terminal diseases/illnesses.
Around 2 years ago, my youngest sister survived a bombing in which a civilian car was targeted and she was a bystander. She lost her right kidney and endured paralysis for many months. After extensive medical treatment and a miracle, she now regained function of her legs and has recently started walking with limited ability. Her treatment currently consists of 4 sessions a month to try to regain full bodily function, as well as high pain medication dosages for the shrapnel still in her body. Her medical treatment costs 500 euros a month.
In a second attack in which my family was targeted, my sister lost her infant entering her 8th month of pregnant and faced several physical traumas. Her knee shattered and she with many surgeries she survived bone fractures in both her shoulders. She faced and still faces the threat of critical amputation of her left leg. Due to the limited access to care in Gaza, she can only receive temporary maintenance by undergoing intensive weekly treatments which cost 250 euros per session. This alone brings her survival costs to 1000 euros per month. In addition to the physical trauma she has faced, the 30 of June marks the 2 year death anniversary of her son from starvation while being besieged inside the Indonesian Hospital in the North of Gaza.
Please refer to the pictures which include medical scans.
Before October 2023, my father worked in the West Bank and along with the hundreds of Palestinians from Gaza living in the West Bank, he was illegally detained and tortured. After his release he was targeted and shot by a sniper and has not been able to walk since. He desperately needs medical attention outside of Gaza.
My hope is to help my family leave Gaza to seek the necessary surgeries and medical attention they need to live a healthy life. This also requires a huge amount of donations which I hope to achieve with your help in this year.
I kindly ask you to share this message and donation link with your communities and network. All donations are greatly appreciate and count to the fight of helping my family survive.
My gratitude,
Alaa

In regards to the the previous link and fundraising goal, due to some pressures and unforeseen circumstances I was forced to close the page and start a new one. The previous goal of 45000 euros, which was dedicated for helping my family escape to Egypt, was not yet met and the funds raised have all been used for living costs. I hope that we can reach this goal in this year while also raising funds for my family to survive in the meantime.
⏳ Every second counts. You might be the reason my family survives.

To every free person, to everyone who supports our people in Gaza, to everyone who knows what it means to be unfree:
I write this with a heavy heart, filled with worry and fear for my family. Sadly, the Israeli bombing hasn't stopped, the war continues, and my family still lives day after day amidst danger and suffering.
With each passing day, life becomes harder. The costs of food, water, medicine, and shelter have become exorbitant, and securing basic necessities has become a daily struggle. My family faces a harsh reality: either endure pain and illness without treatment, lose a loved one, or go to bed hungry because food is so scarce.
Over the past period, your donations have helped my family persevere and meet their essential needs, and I am deeply grateful to everyone who has offered assistance or participated in the campaign. Your support has been the reason they have continued through the most difficult of times.
But unfortunately, the needs haven't ended. There are still children who need food, and members of my family who require ongoing medical care. Every day without additional support makes their situation even more difficult.
Today, I ask you, if you are able, to help my family once again. Any contribution, no matter how small, can mean a meal for my family, medicine for my family, or a chance to survive another day.
And if you are unable to donate, sharing this update with others can be a great help, as it may reach someone who can offer support.
Thank you to everyone who hasn't forgotten my family, and to everyone who has stood by us and shared this difficult journey with us. Your presence and support mean so much to us.
With deepest gratitude,
