Combining well-being and recovery for fragilised people with art and Inca culture in a wonderful place surrounded by mountains is the goal we would like to achieve in our property in the Sacred Valley of Peru.

History: The place was purchased by a Chilean therapist who built a Reiki centre. It's called K'anchaynuni, in Quechua, meaning place of light. We bought it over in 2010. There, I was an artist and a tour guide. When we left in 2015 for family reasons, we rent the property to an orphanage. 10 years have passed and , as artist and therapist, we would like to create a place for people to rest and to get back their energy. Together with local people.

Burn-out: Many people in Europe are suffering from burn-out. Staying in our place, surrounded by mountains and their nice local and helpful people, by Inca culture and art therapies, this will improve their health and give a new impulse in their lives.

Daily program: The tranquility of the place, creative and wellness activities such as massage or meditation as well as immersion in inca culture  form an ideal setting for a profound transformation. We can add moments of silence to integrate the transformations and changes, and moments of sharing through a personalized therapeutic accompaniment. It is a gentle, progressive approach to nature and art.

Developing country:  Peru is a developing country. Our project also includes local people . Having already lived there for 5 years, we know who really needs to be helped. For example the traditional Inca weaving women communities need our help to survive. We are also in contact with a local school and an orphanage.

7 rooms: We can accommodate 7 people in personalized accompaniment. We have 7 rooms with bathroom. The rooms are simple, bright, pleasant, decorated with frescoes in the colors of the 7 chakras.

Workshops: Creative workshops and activities according to your interests and needs: stained glass, painting, drawing, photo, weaving, art therapy, sauna, talking time and exchanges, meditation, walks, contacts with culture and local population, visits of Inca sites. Each person moves at his own pace while respecting his or her being.

Location:  Our centre is located in Urubamba, at 60 km from Cusco airport. 

Cusco, the capital of the Incas, is probably the most beautiful town of South America. Our house is in the middle of the Sacred Valley of Peru where there are numerous wonderful Inca sites.  

It's 15 minutes on foot from the city centre where you can find lots of restaurants and shops and the most delicious fruit coming from the rainforest ( 3 hours from there) on the daily colourful market. 

Apus: Mountains are called Apus ( grandfathers) by the Incas when they surround and protect you. There are 2 Apus protecting our property. The highest is Chicon (5530 m)

Garden: Our garden, surrounded by a high ancient stone wall,  is like a paradise, with orange trees and lemon trees, lots of different flowers and direct view on the Apus. Small streams are passing through. 

Why funding? The property is beautiful. You can help us to make it work better: Some roofs are to be redone. The electricity is stale and must be restored to standards. Our boilers are worn out. Some parquet floors are to be restored. A new kitchen and quiet place for residents needs to be finished. …

Donations: By helping us restore the property, you become our special guests. You will have the opportunity to come and spend some time in the property.
