Reviving Gudamakari Valley – Eco-tourism & Local Empowerment

Let’s build a sustainable tourism space in Gudamakari to support local families and preserve nature.
Gudamakari Valley, nestled in the heart of the Caucasus Mountains, is a breathtaking region with rich traditions, untouched nature, and immense potential for eco-tourism. Unfortunately, many families have been forced to leave due to limited economic opportunities.
We want to change that.
Our vision is to create a small, community-driven tourist hub that will:
Build 5 eco-cottages using sustainable materials
Construct a two-story guesthouse with a traditional kitchen and children’s activity room
Install an outdoor oven and dining area for baking local bread and hosting workshops
Create a small wine cellar to preserve Gudamakari’s winemaking heritage
Build a nature-friendly children’s playground
Offer guests educational experiences about village life, mountain biodiversity, and Georgian culture
All construction will involve local workers, ensuring direct income for residents. Women and youth will be at the center of the hospitality and educational programs.
This campaign aims to raise €62,000 to kickstart construction, purchase materials, and support local families. With your help, we can turn Gudamakari into a model of sustainable, rural tourism.
Let’s revive this hidden gem together — for nature, for culture, and for the future of the valley’s people.
